Cotton fibres contain many impurities like oils, fats, waxes, dirt dust particles and natural coloring matter. Bleaching is a process of removing natural impurities present in the cotton fibre and thus making it ready for further wet processing operations. There are many types of Bleaching aids 1) Type 1 : It is a single auxiliary for bleaching, which eliminates use of caustic, thereby reducing the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), weight loss and COD of effluent. ; 2) Type 2 : It is an all in one bleaching aid for combined scouring and bleaching of Cotton and its blends. It substitutes caustic, stabilizer, sequestering agent and 50-60% wetting agent in bleach bath. ; 3) Type 3: Clay based, ecofriendly and low foaming, all-in-one product for pretreatment of Cellulosic and its blends. ; 4) Type 4 : A low temperature bleach activator for cotton & its blends. It catalyzes the peroxide at lower temperature, thereby saving energy, time and total cost.; 5) Type 5 : A biodegradable all-in-one product for bleaching of cellulosic substrates and its blends ; 6) Type 6 : A biodegradable product which requires low alkali during bleaching of cellulosic substrate. ; 7) Type 7 : This is scouring aid for polyester greige fabric. It is used to remove various additives like spinning oil, acrylic sizes, lubricating oils ; 8) Type 8: It is an excellent stain remover for stubborn oil stains. It is suitable for jet, soft flow or jigger machines. It can also be used during polyester scouring process. 9) Type 9 : A novel all-in-one low foaming product for scouring and bleaching of cotton. It requires only peroxide, and does not need addition of caustic during bleaching.
