ECOFIX is a perfect replacement for traditional organic and inorganic acids. ECOFIX can be used in the dyeing of acid dyes on protein substrates,wherein it gives good effective protonation to result in an excellent fixation of dyes,be it leather or textiles substrates. ECOFIX can be used in place of FORMIC ACID and/or acetic acid for pH adjustment, with no side effect or visible toxicity,emanating no toxic fumes or any foul odours.It does not give any harshness on leather compared to Formic Acid ECOFIX usages give a very low COD/BOD load on the effluent systems,which is quite desirable in modern day industry requirements,along with it being biodegradable and APEO free. ECOFIX ensures higher dye depth without affecting the grain surface. DOSSAGE AND USAGE OF ECOFIX: ? For Cow And Buff Wet Blue Production: Pickling Stage: 0.4% of Ecofix should be added and the drums run for 20 minutes Then start and run the process as usual The advantages of using Ecofix in the wet blue stage is that: It quickens the pickling process. It gives uniform chrome tannage, fast penetration and smooth grains It avoids drawn grains and wrinkles in the wet blue stage It gives good bleaching and brilliance in the wet blue Complete exhaustion of the syntans and fat liquors It deeply penetrates the chrome and float is cleared ? Re-chroming stage: After washing Water :80% Ecofix : 0.3%-0.5% run for 20 minutes. pH=3.2 to 3.5 Then start the re-chroming process ? Fat- liquoring stage: Water : 70% Fat liquors : 6% run for 30 minutes Ecofix : 1% 2X10 minutes + 20 minutes ? Dye fixing stage: Water : 80% Dyes : 2% - 6% run for 45 minutes ? Fixing: (percentage as per your own process) Fat liquors : 12% - 20% run for 45 minutes Ecofix : 2% - 4% (% as per your own process) Run for 3X 10 minutes + 20 minutes Check exhaustion Rinse with normal water after fixing APPLICATION :- ECOFIX is a versatile proton donor and can work as a good pH regulating agent. ECOFIX is suitable in the drumming of leather and works at ambient temperatures with good effective results all along.
